Video: SPPS students help beautify Minnesota’s political landscape

More than 200 students on May 20 helped plant formal gardens around the State Capitol. As an annual collaboration between SPPS Community Education and the Capitol Plant Management Department, students worked alongside Capitol grounds crew and helped create a beautiful landscape. The collaboration allows students to give back to the community and encourages them to learn about horticulture and the environment. Schools that participated in the event include: Chelsea Heights, RiverEast, Cherokee Heights, Humboldt, Johnson and Wellstone.
