Farnsworth fifth-graders read original stories in front of sold-out crowd at MOI event
A group of Farnsworth Aerospace fifth-graders on Feb. 4 read original stories at a sold-out event sponsored by the Mid-Continental Oceanographic Institute (MOI). The audience included Marlon James, MOI Board Member and Man Booker Prize winner; Dave Eggers, award-winning author and 826 Valencia founder; and hundreds of people interested in helping local young authors. The two authors took the stage and engaged in conversation on writing and working with students. The fifth-graders’ stories will be featured in the soon-to-be published book "Up, Up and Away".

Highland Park High School students perform Winter One Act Plays
Highland Park Senior High School students recently completed three great performances of their Winter One Act plays. The Highland Park Thespian Society presented six one-act performances directed by Highland Park students Zoë Challenger, Schyler Jackson Fish and Max Muter. More than 25 students participated in the Winter One Act plays.
