This year, the Community Giving Campaign ran for five weeks. During that time, more than 480 SPPS employees donated $127,000 to more than 230 nonprofit organizations across the country. Como Park Elementary School collects more than 1,100 pounds of food for Sharing Korner
In the two weeks leading up to winter break, students and staff at Como Park Elementary collected 1,112 pounds of food for Sharing Korner. On Dec. 20, students in Kelly Dudeck's fifth grade class sorted, counted and packed the donations for delivery to the food shelf.
