'Listening Locker' hears student concerns at Ramsey Middle School, discourages bullying
A new locker is catching the attention of students at Ramsey Middle School. The “Listening Locker” is a place where students can report bullying and other problems, and ask questions about school. Since debuting the locker in December, students have been submitting about 10 messages a week -- the majority coming from sixth-graders.

The school, which includes grades six through eight, introduced the locker to help resolve bullying issues. To spread the word, Ramsey counselors have been visiting classrooms explaining how the locker works. They also created a scavenger hunt asking students to tell them one thing about the locker in exchange for a mechanical pencil.
