3 Riverview educators receive grants to attend Latino Racial Equity Leadership event
Two Riverview classroom teachers -- Ada Kristel Pérez Ríos and Yomarie Arroyo Rivera -- along with Riverview's Special Education Coach Stivaliss Licona-Gervich, were awarded grant funding from Education Minnesota to attend the upcoming Latino Racial Equity Leadership Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Latino education leaders from across the nation will gather at the event to further develop their will, skill, knowledge and capacity for racial equity leadership, particularly as it relates to the growing Latino student population.

As Latina educators, they have demonstrated a commitment to leading racial equity work for all students at Riverview West Side School of Excellence and SPPS.
