We Day events promote service-learning
On October 8, Superintendent Silva and Board Director Jean O’Connell will join over 600 SPPS students in grades 6-12 for a special We Day event  to kick off a year of student-led service-learning and action. The event brings 15,000 youth from across Minnesota together at the Xcel Energy Center. Many notable speakers and performers will be there including Martin Luther King III, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, the Jonas Brothers and more. Tickets are no longer available, but it will be webcast live on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the We Day website.

College Knowledge Month continues throughout October
