Last chance to save! Health Assessment deadline is tomorrow
If you have HealthPartners insurance through SPPS, this is your last chance to qualify to save hundreds or even thousands of dollars on healthcare next year. Here’s how:

  1. You and your covered spouse complete an online health assessment before Sept. 30.
  2. You and your covered spouse complete at least one health-related activity at healthpartners.com/wellbeing. Many programs end soon, but the Choose H20 program has an extended deadline of Nov. 7.
  3. You see healthcare savings that could total thousands of dollars in 2015!

Make sure you are staying hydrated with this four-week Choose H20 Challenge. Focus on one of your basic needs and learn how staying hydrated can benefit both your mind and body.

The program is simple.

  1. Register online
  2. Track your daily water consumption at least once a week on your Choose H20 tracker
  3. Send in your completed tracker to Karly Farrell, Wellness Program Manager

Don't forget to register your building for National Bike/Walk to School Day on Oct. 8
Student Health and Wellness is encouraging SPPS students and staff to participate in National Walk/Bike to School Day on October 8. We invite your site to participate in this great event.

Bike/walk events can:

  • foster academic achievement
  • improve student health
  • raise environmental awareness
  • build connections among families, schools and the larger community.

SPPS will join children and adults around the world to celebrate the benefits of walking and biking to school.

All students and staff who walk or bike to school will receive a “I Walked” or “I Biked” sticker, and the site with the highest participation will receive the first annual traveling trophy. If your site is interested in participating, complete this site registration survey by Sept. 29.

Use this flyer to post at your school or send home with parents. Please consider your site’s ability to accommodate multiple bikes for the day. Check with your site administrator to approve your participation. Email Karly Farrell at karly.farrell@spps.org or Carol Grady at carol.grady@spps.org learn more.
