Do Not Upgrade SPPS iPads to Apple’s iOS 9.2
Staff and students should not upgrade district iPads to the latest operating system update from Apple, iOS 9.2.

Technology Services has identified a compatibility issue with the SPPS Apps Store and the new update. Upgrading iPads will prevent users from installing new apps. Once an iPad is updated, it cannot be reverted to a previous version of the operating system.

Apple is working to resolve this issue. Technology Services will provide additional information when the issue has been resolved. If you have questions, please contact the Service Desk at 651-603-HELP.

Schoology Enterprise pilot underway at SPPS
The Office of Teaching and Learning started piloting the paid version of Schoology (Enterprise) at Como Park Senior High, Johnson Senior High and Murray Middle School at the beginning of the second academic quarter.

Schoology is a user-friendly Learning Management System that offers important teaching and learning resources that support personalized learning. Over the past few years, staff and students in several schools have used the free and limited version of Schoology (Basic). All secondary schools will have access to Schoology and will pilot the tool during second semester. This pilot comes after a year during which SPPS teachers and staff planned and reviewed multiple learning management tools.

For more information about Schoology, please click here. If you have any questions about the Schoology pilot, contact Megan Dols Klingel, Assistant Director of Teaching & Learning, at megan.dols@spps.org or 651-744-6344.
