Elementary progress report pick up is March 16
Elementary Progress Reports will be available for pick up from 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, March 16 at 345 Plato in Training Room 1. Copies of the Elementary Progress Report Parent Guides will also be available in English and translated versions. If you have questions, contact Kristy Whalen at kristy.whalen@spps.org.

Students invited to participate in Earth Day art contest
In celebration of Earth Day, SPPS is partnering with Walters Recycling & Refuse on a student drawing contest with the theme “Every Day is Earth Day.” Students may submit artwork showing how they can take actions every day to be environmentally responsible. The winning drawings will be selected by Walters Recycling & Refuse to be featured on the side of their waste and recycling collection trucks. Students with the winning drawings will also receive a savings bond, and additional prizes will be given to honorable mentions. All students in grades K-12 are invited to submit one drawing between March 2 and March 31. Student Placement Center changes building hours
Beginning March 1, public access hours changed for the Student Placement Center. The hours are now as follows:

  • 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays
  • 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays
  • 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays (new hours)
  • 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays
  • 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays

Student Placement Center hours will return to 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays during the first week of school and the week before to support the enrollment rush. Please call 651-632-3700 with questions.
