Deadline Approaching: Save Money on Healthcare in 2014!
The deadline is quickly approaching! You could save hundreds or even thousands of dollars on healthcare costs in 2014. Here's how.

  1. You and your covered spouse complete an online health assessment before September 30. It only takes 15 minutes.
  2. You and your covered spouse complete at least one health-related activity each at healthpartners.com/wellbeing. If you already signed up for an activity, make sure you stick with it until the end of the program to receive credit.
  3. See healthcare savings that could total thousands of dollars in 2014! See what you could earn at wellness.spps.org.

Tips: Working in the Heat
Your personal health and well-being are as critical to a successful start of the school year as the work that you do. Please be sure to take extra care to ensure your physical safety on hot days:

  • Stay indoors as much as possible and limit exposure to the sun – though being indoors without air-conditioning can also be difficult. As much as possible, stay on the lowest floor out of the sunshine when air conditioning is not available. 
  • Eat well-balanced, light, and regular meals. Avoid using salt tablets unless directed to do so by a physician. 
  • Drink plenty of water; even if you do not feel thirsty. Avoid drinks with caffeine. 
  • If you’re outside, protect your face and head by wearing a wide-brimmed hat. 
  • Take breaks and rest when you are able.
