From the Office of Student Health and Wellness: Celebrating National School Nurse Day

School nurses go into the field because they like working with children and families, and they value being part of an educational team. In SPPS we have many reasons to celebrate our nurses every day of the year.

Video: SPPS students participate in Azteca Mexica celebration

Johnson Senior High School hosted hundreds of SPPS community members during Nahui Tekpatl a Mexica New Year festival. The celebration featured indigenous, as well as SPPS dancers and included local artists, community organizations and businesses. In addition to educating the community about the significance and history of Mexica New Year, the event also helped advance an awareness of indigenous culture in the Latino community.
