From the Superintendent: New St. Thomas Partnership Offers Graduate Opportunities for Staff

I am delighted to share news about a new partnership between SPPS and the University of St. Thomas. The SPPS Urban Teacher Residency, or SUTR, will provide an opportunity to non-licensed staff who have their bachelor’s degree and have completed their probationary period.

Video: SPPS Culinary Competition: Winning Team Announced

The Cooking Up Change organization teamed with SPPS culinary students from six schools to help create new, healthy school lunch recipes during the 3rd Annual Culinary Competition at Saint Paul College. The competition challenged student chefs to create recipes using federal nutrition guidelines and SPPS lunch pricing. The winning team is going on an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. to compete with eight other cities from around the country.
